Az Epstein Barr vírus (más néven EBV) a mononukleózis felnőtt neve, a hírhedt „csókos betegségé”, amelyen sok tinédzser és főiskolás esik át. A tanulmányok szerint az EBV vírus MS-hez is vezethet, de ezet még nem tudták 100%-osan bizonyítani.
